Dr Jyothi Marry

 

Dr Jyothi Marry is an experienced female Sydney Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, trained in Australia and New Zealand.

 

Jyothi takes public appointments at Liverpool Hospital, and is also a Visiting Medical Officer at Sydney South West Private, Westmead Private and Norwest Private Hospitals.

 

Jyothi started her postgraduate training at National Women’s Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand in 2003.

After obtaining her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the University of Auckland, she was selected onto the RANZCOG specialist training programme in New Zealand. After a few years of extensive training, Jyothi obtained her Membership followed by the Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.

 

Her training hospitals included National Women’s Hospital, Auckland City hospital, Tauranga hospitals in New Zealand and Westmead, Blacktown, Liverpool hospitals in Australia. During this period she had an opportunity to be trained by and work with some of the world renowned Obstetricians, Gynaecologists and Laparoscopic surgeons.

 

During her training, Jyothi has gained experience in urogynaecology, high risk obstetrics, recurrent miscarriage, infertility, prolapse, gynaecological cancers, endometriosis and advanced laparoscopic surgery.

 

During her senior years of training as a specialist, she worked as a Senior Registrar in Western Sydney and South West Sydney Area hospitals. She has refined her surgical skills and consolidated her clinical knowledge by working as a Senior Registrar and Pelvic Surgery Fellow at Liverpool Hospital.

 

Academic Role: Dr Jyothi Marry is the RANZCOG Training Coordinator for Sydney South West Local Health District including Liverpool, Campbelltown, Bankstown and Fairfield hospitals. She is also a training Supervisor for RANZCOG trainees and Overseas trained specialists. Jyothi is involved with the recruitment of junior doctors and also the specialists in training.

 

UNSW: Jyothi is a Conjoint Lecturer in the University of New South Wales and the Supervisor and examiner for medical students.

 

Jyothi has been awarded the Best Overall Conjoint Teacher by UNSW in 2013 and also Associate Dean’s teaching award.

 

Jyothi is also an examiner for the specialist trainees from the RANZCOG and continues to be involved in research and the training of junior staff in obstetrics and gynaecology. Jyothi has organised many educational workshops of national standard. She is also involved with GP education.

 

Team: Dr Jyothi Marry has experienced anaesthetists, paediatricians and feto-maternal specialists affiliated to provide services to her patients.

 

There are senior experienced midwives attached to Dr Marry’s practice and their expertise can be used with education regarding pregnancy, labour, child birth and breast feeding. Depending on the complexity of the problem other health care specialists may need to be involved with your care in certain situations.
